My name is Tommy Hill
I started my IBEW career on August 17th, 1981 as a first year apprentice. I was allowed to join the local union in 1982. I turned out in 1985. I have served my local union as a JATC committee member, got elected to the Executive board in 1995, then served 3 terms on the Executive Board with two of those terms as the Chairman. In 2004 Business Manager Bob Krebs asked me to serve as his assistant, and I served the local union in that capacity until 2012. Bob Krebs stepped down, giving me the opportunity to run for Business Manager, and I was elected to that office. I am serving my second term as Business Manager. I love this job! Because I know that the work we are doing at local union 379 is making a difference in our community and jurisdiction. We have a great staff, dedicated members, and good signatory contractors who help us reach our goals by putting our members to work.
Patrick joined IBEW Local 382 in Columbia SC and completed his Apprenticeship in 1988. Patrick then joined IBEW Local 379 in 2006 and over a 30+ years of electrical work under the IBEW. Patrick has worked on Nuclear, Coal, Steam, Powerhouses, Waste Water Treatment, Data Centers, Call Centers and Office Renovations.
My goal are to make good decisions for the betterment of our Local and push for continuing education for members.
