Here you will be able to apply to move up your classification if you meet the requirements. No re-evaluating is allowed while you are working for a signatory (Union) contractor. If you have a break from the Union and work non-union for a minimum of 12 months and return, then you may re-evaluate.
Note that only hours worked for a signatory (Union) contractor can be counted towards your hours worked as a CW.
1.CW-1 to a CW-2 you must have reported 1000 CW-1 hours worked for a signatory (Union) contractor.
2.CW-2 to a CW-3 you must have reported 2000 CW-2 hours worked for a signatory (Union) contractor.
3.CW-3 to a CW-4 you must have reported 2000 CW-3 hours worked for a signatory (Union) contractor.
When upgrading to a Construction Electrician classification you must have completed the following class prior to applying:
1. OSHA -10
3. First Aid / CPR
4. IBEW 379 Code of Excellence
And you must have the following verified electricial field hours Union and Non-Union:
CE-1 8000 (Union and Non Union) hours
CE-2 10,000 (Union and Non Union) hours
CE-3 12,000 (Union and Non Union) hours
All these class are provided by the Carolina Electrical Training Institute (CETI) and IBEW LU 379. You can take any of these class at any time during your employment, but they must be completed before applying to upgrade to a CE level classification. You can also take these class on your own, at your own cost, or if you already have them, they must be less than 3 years old to count.

1. Application for Prior OJT Credit (if you have non-union hours).
2. Construction Wireman & Construction Electrician Application for Advancement.
3. Mail to 1900 Cross Beam Dr Suite A Charlotte NC, 28217, or deliver in person to Tina Williams Director of the CETI.
